| ADDINOL Eco Gear W – innovative gear oil for maximum energy efficiency | ||
Gears transmit and transfer energy. They are being applied in all industrial branches. In their operation the lubricant plays a decisive part. It is a major construction element and underlies ever increasing demands, especially if used in modern gears. For toothings and bearings of highest surface quality in particular, ADDINOL has developed a completely new gear oil in close co-operation with leading gear manufacturers. ADDINOL Eco Gear W with the innovative "Advantec Formula" is proven to increase both the efficiency of gears and the overall energy efficiency. With its innovative "Advantec-Formula" ADDINOL Eco Gear W protects toothings and bearings of highest surface quality. The formula achieves reduced friction between friction pairings. This in turn reduces power loss and increases the efficiency of the gear. The gear operates at maximum energy efficiency. Fit also at lowest temperatures When developing the ADDINOL Eco Gear W excellent low-temperature behaviour was a further requirement. This objective was achieved by a novel combination of carefully selected synthetic base oils. ADDINOL Eco Gear W is free of viscosity-index-improvers based on organic polymers and still possesses a superior viscosity index (ADDINOL Eco Gear W in viscosity grade 320 for instance has a viscosity index of 181). The pour point of ADDINOL Eco Gear W is lower than the pour point of conventional industrial gear oils; here ADDINOL Eco Gear 320 W for example displays the value of -51 °C. Concerning low-temperature behavior ADDINOL Eco Gear W outperforms common synthetic gear oils clearly and extends effective operating area by at least 5 °C at sub-zero temperatures which is a valuable advantage especially for the application in gears operating at extreme cold or starting after long downtimes. No chances for air, foam and water During operation the agitation and aeration of the lubricant is unavoidable. The fine air bubbles must be separated and released from the oil quickly. In the air separation test ADDINOL Eco Gear W achieves best results. The release of introduced air causes foam on the lubricant’s surface which is minimised for ADDINOL Eco Gear W by the help of special inhibitors and carefully selected base components. Even under the impact of water or heavy contamination a heightened foam formation is prevented effectively. In the Flender foam test ADDINOL Eco Gear 460 W achieves best results and its volume increase amounts to 6 % maximum. Apart from excellent an air separation ADDINOL Eco Gear W also achieves an outstanding separation of water and this way reduces the danger of corrosion in the gear box. |
